This space in a suburb in Mumbai is designed with a minimalistic approach while the utility and practicality of living there precedes all other factors .The final detailing in the design is such that the maintenance of the space is minimal which makes this home easy to live in.
The clients have a good design background themselves and wanted a stylish space, which needed to be comfortable and practical . The entire three bedroom apartment has been opened out keeping the guest bedroom as a single enclosed space which acts as a TV room named as the Den Area.
The Living room is designed in the timeless colors of brown and beige . Adding to this is a combination of a stone finished TV unit panel ,a clear beveled mirror for the dining unit while furnishing the space with other décor elements which makes a lasting impression.
The master bedroom is designed highlighting an elegant beveled mirror panel above the tufted leatherette cushioning bed back .There is symmetry of the space and the white lamination for the wardrobe makes the space look bigger .The daughter’s bedroom is designed keeping in mind the little girls love for the girly pink colour like a little princess of a fairy tale .
Decorative lights play an important role right from the recessed fixtures for general lighting to the cove lighting , spots that showcase artwork and an adjustable floor lamp .
The space is uniquely designed with essential furniture which is functional. Texture is the key, from the floor to the ceiling and to the backdrop finished in veneer of the TV unit. Providing a full height mirror here adds life and space to the room. The wooden flooring complements the white to introduce some warmth and the cove lighting makes a statement adding style and drama to the space.
